Quiboloy's Demand: Marcos Administration Challenged to Protect Philippines From US Meddling

Pastor Apollo Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) made a bold statement on Saturday, expressing his willingness to face legal charges in the Philippines on one condition: a written assurance from the Marcos administration that the United States would not interfere with his legal affairs in the country.

Quiboloy's statement, presented by SMNI News, underlined the need to ensure that American agencies such as the FBI, CIA, and US Embassy do not intervene in his Philippine legal challenges.

Furthermore, Quiboloy named major members of the Philippine government whose written guarantees he wanted, including the President of the Philippines and Secretary of the Department of Justice, Boying Remulla.

The KOJC leader also named officials whom he requested guarantees from, including Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Medardo de Lemos, and Police Major General Romeo Caramat Jr., head of the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).

Quiboloy expressed alarm about what he regarded as organized efforts to obtain his arrest to hand him over to US authorities. He characterized his absence from sessions as self-protection, claiming that the processes were really traps set to facilitate his extradition to the United States.

In reaction to alleged fake testimonies, Quiboloy urged Senator Risa Hontiveros to terminate what he called "bogus hearings" in the Senate.

Quiboloy expressed his commitment, stating that he desired not to be arrested alive and asking police to shoot him if apprehended.

Regarding the legal procedures against him, Quiboloy's lawyer stated that the charges of child abuse came from a regional trial court in Davao City, with five co-accused individuals posting bail while Quiboloy remains at large.

Quiboloy's absence was noted during recent attempts to serve the arrest warrant at numerous sites linked to him, including the Kingdom of Jesus Christ property in Davao City and his resort on Samal Island.

The Senate and House of Representatives have issued subpoenas to Quiboloy, inviting him to separate sessions. We are currently requesting comments from relevant authorities and Senator Hontiveros on Quiboloy's claims.
