Sara Duterte Resigns as Education Chief
MANILA — Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte resigned from her positions as education minister and vice-chair of an anti-insurgency task force, the presidential office stated on Wednesday.

The vice president declined to give a reason why. She will continue to serve as Vice President.
Marcos and Duterte, former President Rodrigo Duterte's daughter, were running mates who won by a landslide in the 2022 national election. The Philippines elects its president and vice president separately.
